Janet is an experienced and qualified family, social and community historian who lectures regularly on these subjects throughout the UK and overseas. She has spoken at many national and international genealogical events and is also a wel known author.  This evening she will tell us about the many and fascinating records of the workhouse, hospitals, asylums and the overseers of the poor.

Non-confirmity for Family Historians  -  Alan Ruston

Alan will talk about the various churches that have existed in Britain since the 17th century, what they were and are, and the unique records they have produced.  They are very different to those of the Church of England.

Our meetings are held on the Fourth Thursday of each month, starting at 7.30 pm and we would be very pleased to welcome you there.Please note that our future meetings will be held at Central Community Centre, Emlyn Square, Swindon SN1 5BP (Click for map) and not in Gorse Hill 3Community Centre.  There is parking available at the hall.
